CANBUS bulbs feature built-in resistors that prevent dashboard error codes and flickering in modern, computerized vehicles by simulating the load of a halogen bulb. Non-CANBUS LEDs lack this circuitry, making them cost less, but prone to triggering "bulb out" warnings or rapid flashing in cars with sensitive monitoring systems.

- Vehicle Compatibility: CANBUS is essential for newer cars (often European) that monitor bulb wattage. Non-CANBUS is suitable for older cars or vehicles without advanced lighting monitoring.
