Step 1: Plan the Installation

- Select Mounting Locations
o Choose optimal positions for each rock light, typically within the wheel wells or along the vehicle's undercarriage, ensuring even illumination and avoiding interference with moving parts or heat sources.

- Test the System
o Before installation, connect the rock lights to the controller and a power source to verify functionality.

Step 2: Mount the Rock Lights

- Prepare the Surface
o Clean the mounting areas to remove dirt and debris, ensuring a secure attachment.

- Drill Mounting Holes
o Mark and drill holes for the mounting screws in the selected locations.

- Install the Lights
o Position the rock lights and secure them using the provided screws, ensuring they are firmly attached.

Step 3: Route and Connect the Wiring

- Route the Wires
o Run the wiring from each light to the engine bay, keeping wires away from heat sources and moving parts, and secure them with zip ties.

- Connect to the Controller
o Attach the wires to the Bluetooth controller according to the manufacturer's instructions, ensuring correct polarity.

- Protect the Connections
o Use electrical tape or heat shrink tubing to insulate connections, preventing exposure to moisture and debris.

Step 4: Connect to Power

- Locate the Power Source
o Identify a suitable 12V power source, such as the vehicle's battery or fuse box.

- Make the Connection
o Connect the controller's power wires to the chosen power source, ensuring a secure and correct connection.

- Ground the System
o Attach the ground wire to a clean, unpainted metal surface on the vehicle's chassis.

Step 5: Program the Bluetooth Controller

- Download the App
o Install the Motoauto app on your smartphone. (RGBW rock lights only)

- Pair the Device
o Turn on the vehicle's ignition to power the controller, enable Bluetooth on your smartphone, and follow the app's instructions to pair with the controller.

- Configure Settings
o Use the app to customize light colors, patterns, and other settings to your preference.

Step 6: Test the Installation

- Verify Operation
o Activate the rock lights via the app to ensure all lights function correctly and respond to commands.

- Inspect the Installation
o Check that all components are securely mounted and wiring is properly routed and protected.
